Apart from central heating and insulation how is it possible to make a Granite house warm?

I'm dreading another winter in this house despite all the precautions it is still very cold. Wooden floors with heavy duty underlay and carpeting. Loft insulated and double glazed window units. All the rooms are plastered boarded out as well.
