Why help the Haitians?

If you've noticed its not just the Haitian people who go against their own, alot of people from where you and I live go against each other! The men and woman who go to Haiti to help know that they could be killed or hurt. They know the risk but they also know alot of woman, children and men are suffering and need their help. And aparently you have no idea what the word uncivilized means. Just because the people are fighting eachother in a time of desperation does not mean the are uncivil. People all over the world and murder people all the time just because the feel like it. So are we uncivil? Just because a few people do that does not make all of mankind bad.
